We process your images and text only to operate the translation service. We do not sell your content, use it for advertising or training AI models, or share it with third parties for their own use.
Website files are stored on our server so translation, photo review, correction and downloads can work. Azure provides the hosting infrastructure. Generated files are accessible through an unguessable link that you can save or share. Anyone with the link can view the result; no account or original browser session is required.
For sensitive documents, use the mobile app
All Braille recognition and translation in the ABC Braille mobile app happens on your device. The app does not collect or transmit your documents. If you choose to export or share a file, the destination you select handles that copy under its own privacy settings. For sensitive or confidential documents, use the app rather than uploading them to the website.

Retention and deletion
Translation results are available through a secure link for 30 days. Uploaded files and generated results are removed from our server within 60 days.
To request earlier deletion, contact hello@abcbraille.com. Keep the relevant page address so we can identify the file. Avoid including sensitive content in your email.
Usage information
Operational server logs support reliability and security; they exclude submitted content and URL query strings and are kept for no more than 30 days. Google Analytics and Microsoft Azure Application Insights collect website usage and diagnostic information, as on the previous site.
Cookies and browser preferences
An essential secure session cookie supports forms and your selected view/code. Access to saved or shared photo results does not depend on that cookie. It expires after 30 days without activity. Display and key preferences may be stored in your browser. Copying or translating does not save document content in persistent browser storage. Content saved by an older version can be removed with the button below.
Games and learning progress
Braille games run in your browser using a prepared question bank. Saving learning progress is optional. If you enable it, scores, question identifiers and daily completion dates stay in this browser; they are not sent to our server. We do not store your typed answers, names or contact details as learning progress. Shared devices may expose saved progress to other people using the same browser. You can turn saving off or reset progress from the Games & Learning page. The daily challenge uses the UTC calendar date.
External links and donations
Donation and app-store services receive information when you follow their links and operate under their own policies. We do not receive your payment-card details. Payment widgets are not loaded while you translate.
